About us

GuardChain is a new smart blockchain based platform for analysing and detecting potentially fraudulent ICOs.

Our state of the art algorithms analyse the strengths & weaknesses within projects and detect any patterns between our database of high risk ICOs and any upcoming ones faster than any human being ever will.

We outline a machine learning approach to separate the scams from legitimate projects. This is achieved by analysing over 2,000 ICO projects, where we correlate the life span and the price change of a digital currency with various levels of its ICO information, including its white papers, founding team, GitHub repository, website, etc. The proposed system will be able to identify fraudulent ICO projects with a precision close to 82%!

Our Mission

We believe that the future of the global business is the technology of Blockchain and Crypto-currencies. Projects that can change the world are already being created; our mission is to help make them a reality.

GuardChain’s task is to save the Crypto industry from fraud, increase the trust towards the ICO and build a decentralized community of the world’s leading professionals.

Join us now – together we will create the future!

The Problem

As cryptocurrencies become more mainstream, ICO’s will present greater risks to larger numbers of people. Scammers are making big money off people who want in on the latest digital gold rush but don’t understand how the technology works.

Despite the fact that ICOs are able to provide fair and lawful investment opportunities, the ease of crowdfunding creates opportunities and incentives for unscrupulous businesses to use ICOs to execute “pump and dump” schemes, in which the ICO initiators drive up the value of the crowdfunded cryptocurrency and then quickly “dump” the coins for a profit.

Our Solution

We propose the first machine learning–based ICO fraud identification system. We exploit natural-language processing techniques to analyse various aspects of over 2000 digital currencies to date, such white paper content, founding teams, GitHub repositories, websites and more. Using Artificial Intelligence we are able to identify subtle warning signs hidden below the surface faster than any human being will ever be able to.

We hope the proposed system will help investors identify fraudulent ICO projects and attract more academic and public-sector work investigating this problem. With the ICO to be conducted, a wide range of individuals will have the opportunity to participate in our long-term growth and success story to fundamentally change the world of initial coin offerings.

2018 ICO Market Overview

2018 saw a total of 943 projects completing their fundraising with average amount raised of USD $17.59 million. ICO funding had experienced a downward trend throughout 2018 ending at its lowest point in December.

In H1 2018, investors on average contributed USD $2.26 billion per month in funding to ICO projects. However, in H2 2018, funding has gone down to an average of only USD $500 million per month.
